Based in the Memphis, Tennessee area, Pink Coconut Boutique is a leading retailler of apparel and fashion accessories made for and worn by real women, not models or unrealistic mannequins. With thriving local retail but a limited online presence, the team at Pink Coconut wanted to really leverage eCommerce to extend their reach. With a nimble resource team, Pink Coconut Boutique's transformative eCommerce experience needed to allow them the ability to take complete control post-launch from an operational and marketing standpoint.
In order to quickly elevate Pink Coconut Boutique's online experience, we leveraged Kibo and our proprietary CloudCore methodology to bring them best practice, responsive, mobile-focused design patterns that work especially well for apparel. For example, the new site features inline quick-views on product listing pages, which means the user never has to leave the page and can quickly continue browsing all products -- essentially bringing the in-store browsing experience online. We also unified the brand stylistically, reducing visual noise and gaining a cohesive look and feel, with specific principles that will guide the brand's future design efforts. An especially unique aspect of the final experience is a shop-by-model feature that we implemented, which allows Pink Coconut Boutique's customers to see how clothes truly look on people like them.
