Jelly Belly has been selling fine candies since 1869, long before the days of eCommerce. While many of the recipes have remained the same, the retail environment has evolved drastically. Naturally, so too has the company’s ambition to drive online revenue growth. Before working with Echidna, Jelly Belly was managing all technology in-house, which had led to a functional albeit dated and convoluted homegrown system and was inhibiting future digital growth.
Echidna met the Jelly Belly team around the same time that a new cloud eCommerce platform, Kibo, was entering the market, and we immediately saw a perfect fit. We replatformed Jelly Belly’s entire system to Kibo, helping the company consolidate dozens of B2C, B2B, and content sites from its brands all over the globe. Special attention was paid to implementing a mobile-friendly solution, ensuring a consistent omnichannel experience across all devices.
