The team behind Gotchya came to Echidna with a uniquely ambitious project, one that required a system and site that could accommodate a massive product catalog comprised of millions of products and thousands of vendors. Naturally, it also needed to provide an amazing experience for its users and continue to grow with future feature releases.
Echidna’s Perspective
Echidna designed, built, and implemented an entirely custom solution from the ground up to fit Gotchya’s specific needs. Since implementation, the system we built has handled a catalog load of over 25 million products. In order to make sure the product catalog is constantly up to date, we process daily delta feeds. Other notable aspects of the project include integration of rich content feeds for product reviews, images, information, and more data, and the setup of automated processes that consolidate and clean up product and offer data, along with other rich content.
